Fiber & Copper Connectivity

Fiber and copper connectivity hardware terminates cable runs at a rack in a way that can be tested, labeled, and reconfigured without re-terminating the cable itself. A patch panel is the fixed point; everything patched into it is meant to change.

What we supply

Copper patch panels

Fixed termination points for twisted-pair cable, punched down once at installation and then patched with short cords for daily moves, adds, and changes.

Specify by: port count, category rating, port density, termination type.

MPO and MTP cassettes

Factory-terminated fiber modules that break out a high-count MPO trunk cable into individual LC or SC connections at the rack, without field termination.

Specify by: fiber count, connector type, polarity, fiber type.

Patch cords

Pre-terminated fiber and copper cords that connect equipment to a patch panel or panel to panel, in the exact length and connector combination the run requires.

Specify by: connector type, length, fiber or copper, category or fiber type.

Adapters and couplers

Fixed-mount connectors that join two patch cords end to end at a panel or wall plate without a full termination.

Specify by: connector type, fiber type, mount style, simplex or duplex.

Fiber cleaning and inspection

Wipes, cleaning tools, and inspection scopes that keep a fiber end face free of contamination before it is mated, since a dirty end face is the leading cause of high loss and failed links.

Specifying fiber and copper connectivity

Single-mode and multi-mode fiber are not interchangeable and are not always visually distinct once terminated. Connecting the wrong type produces a link that may pass a basic continuity check and still fail under load or at distance.

MPO polarity has to be tracked through the whole link, from trunk cable to cassette to patch cord, because a method A and method B cassette are not interchangeable partway through a run. Getting polarity wrong swaps transmit and receive at the far end.

Copper category rating is a system property, not just a cable property. A Category 6A patch panel terminated with Category 5e patch cords caps the whole link at the lower category's performance.
